Why do we celebrate birthdays? As with many holidays, it seems to me commercial, overrated, and far too much effort. At least, that is, when it pertains to me... I don't like to make a big deal of it, with the exception of the markers, say 30, when I took a respite in nature. So on this day of days, I see it as any other. I got up this morning, worked, and headed home. I was lucky to get to see my friends L and S and help them with a couple of tasks around the house. I just love to spend time with them.
Now I'm home, I made myself a gin and tonic, mmmmmm, and relaxing on this most gorgeous of evenings. So cheers to you!

ah yes i know them well. i have been having them for 34 years.. you try and try... you trust and trust.. all you get is someone who whatever you try to do for them, however you try to love them... they just take advantage of you, leaving you dropped on the floor in pain, kick you a few more times for good measure... go on their merry way... and then expect you to be there to take advantage of again... i will never trust him again, you only know how to hurt...
